1985 was the year that Joyce van Oorschot cum laude graduated as a graphic designer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem.
After several years of working with several agencies and publishers as a designer and illustrator, she started as entrepeneur herself. As a result, she could go for her desire: making of large paintings so that she could still express herseld next to making detailed work as a designer and illustrator.
Over the years, Joyce has developed her unique own methods and techniques.
Joyce is next also an illustrator of children's books... Among many other things.
She consists to try out new materials that can be found in, really inside, her work, for example plastic bulbs, leaf-gold and sheet metal, sand, feathers, paper, various varnishes and varnishes.
Her paintings clearly reflect her 'signature' and are characterized by humor, a very powerful design and strong use of color.
